Jill L. Schwartz, MD, MPH, Chair



Dr. Schwartz is the Medical Director at CONRAD and Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Eastern Virginia Medical School. 

 

Dr Schwartz received her B.A. degree from Wesleyan University.  After receiving her medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine, she continued her medical training in Obstetrics and Gynecology with an internship at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center.  

 

Dr. Schwartz worked at Planned Parenthood NYC from 1992 to 1994 as a staff physician and then completed a residency at George Washington University Medical Center.  She is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and completed a fellowship in Contraceptive Research and Family Planning at Magee-Womens Hospital at the University of Pittsburgh.  

 

Before joining CONRAD in 2002, Dr. Schwartz served as Assistant Professor, Director of the Emergency Department, and Assistant Director of Ambulatory Services in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Medicine.  

 

Dr. Schwartz has been a clinical investigator for many women’s health studies including spermicide/microbicide clinical safety and pharmacokinetic studies, effectiveness studies for novel female barrier methods, and hormonal and emergency contraceptive studies.
