Avibela™ is our IUD’s brand name in low- and middle-income countries and is available with either a two-handed or single-handed inserter. Medicines360, through its wholly owned subsidiary Impact RH360, offers AVIBELA at an affordable price in Africa, South and Southeast Asia, Central America, and the Caribbean. AVIBELA is not available in the US.

Medicines360 was founded by women in 2009 to break barriers to access, and in the process, change women’s lives for the better.
We started with a goal of increasing women’s access to an innovative, highly effective contraception option — the hormonal IUD — by making it affordable while demonstrating that it is a safe and effective option for more women than had been previously recognized.
Development of our hormonal IUD had a significant catalytic effect on US and global access for women, proving that a mission-driven organization can have a profound effect on market dynamics.

Clinical Studies
Largest IUD Study
Conducted the United States’ largest and most diverse Phase 3 clinical study ever on a hormonal intrauterine device (IUD).
Lowering Costs
Saved over $120 Million
Saved the US public healthcare system over $120 million (estimate as of 2025).
Innovative Approach
CATALYZED IUD ACCESS
Initiated studies to extend the duration of use for the IUD and to show that same-day IUD insertion was feasible, reducing the burden of clinic visits.

Served 4,000 clinics
Served 4,000 safety net clinics and hospitals throughout the US who provide care to underserved women.
Expanding Access
IUDs for 1.8M women
Made our hormonal IUD available to nearly 2 million women throughout the United States, with more than half a million distributed to women seen at safety net clinics and hospitals.
Global Program
Global Access
Supplied more than 65,000 hormonal IUDs to global procurement agencies and other partners at low access pricing, for distribution to women across Africa, Central America, and the Caribbean.
